I started a comic blog a while back with the sole intent of drawing more. It turned into a wonderful outlet for (over) expressing my emotions and practicing varied compositions. I feel these have inadvertently helped my skills in story pacing and storyboarding.

The Overlooked

I was a weird kid obsessed with biography books. While I loved reading about George Washington,
Abe Lincoln and MLK Jr., I wanted to read about other people, too. My BFA thesis focused on overlooked
historical figures with collaged illustrations paired with a short movie-summary blurb for each figure.

Cards

Wedding invites are all starting to look the same. Customization and character are always
fun ways to make things feel personalized. We included distinguishing facial features, a bit of
research for corresponding ethnic patterns, and Connie and Jason's adorable dogs, Obi and Addie.
